Museum of Transportation – There is one interesting attractions to visit in the area of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, especially for those who love travelling, Museum of Transportation.
Museum of Transportation was founded in 1984, this museum has a large collection of different types of transportation mode by land, sea, river and air, such as the minibus type ‘oplet’, first collection of deluxe tour bus in the year of 1968 with engines Mercedes Benz type O302 owned by the Public Corporation of Djakarta Transportation (PPD), the two-floor PPD’s bus with engines Leyland from England, Buses Djawatan Angkoetan Motor Repoeblik Indonesia (DAMRI) with TATA brand from India. In this museum you can find airplane DC9s owned by Garuda Indonesia Airlines, a lighthouse built in 1879. This is a place of recreation and educational for everyone.
Transportation Museum is an agency of the Department of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia for the purpose of collecting, maintaining, researching, exhibiting evidence of the history and development of transportation, as well as its role. The goal is to provide information and additional knowledge to the visitors about the history of transportation and transportation technology development as well as educational recreation areas.
